Pete and Hazel are planning a day out to Kedleston Hall, Derby on Sunday 28th July. It is a National Trust building with wonderful grounds. They would be delighted if any Elitewings members would care to join them. The cafe serve light meals, sandwiches, jacket potatoes, scones and cake etc. and there is a large outside seating area and several picnic tables if anyone prefers to take a picnic. We plan to be there for 11am.
One point, the cafe is in the grounds so you do have to pay to get in the grounds if you are not a National Trust member. It was about £7.20 pp. The Hall is really interesting and worth a visit. The roads into the grounds are good and the main parking is a good sized area and has gravel over that plastic caging so is also ok, Pete had no problems. However we were told that overflow parking is on grass when it is very busy so please explain that is not an option if they try to send anyone there.
